This needle felting wool is sourced from a small Canadian mill that processes locally raised Western Canadian wool. The fibre comes from Dorset sheep and is carefully prepared using organic soaps and traditional milling methods.

The wool is minimally processed on vintage equipment dating back to the 1800s. Because of this gentle process, no harsh chemicals or bleaches are used, helping the fibre retain its natural character. You may occasionally find small bits of straw in the wool - a normal part of minimally processed, natural fibre.

Dorset wool is an excellent fibre for needle felting and works beautifully with a medium-gauge felting needle.
